Album Review: Forrest Isn't Dead - The End of Everything

Updated: May 3, 2023

Forrest Isn't Dead's new album The End of Everything has a little something for everyone. It has blazing hooks that you want to sing to, burning melodies that you need to move to, and lyrics that mean something that make it easy to relate to what you're listening to. Forrest says that the lyrics are all about letting go. In a press release he was quoted as saying: "“It’s about letting go of mistakes you’ve made, moving forward, and saying goodbye...You’re trying to find a clean slate within yourself.”

Forrest Isn't Dead and his bandmates effortlessly blend elements of alt, indie, and rock into something that is uniquely new, but also feels familiar. All members of the band assist with production and engineering and you can tell this is an album from the heart for the group. Additionally, the finished product is slick sounding and masterful in areas blending strings, synth, and more.

If you've never had the pleasure of listening to Forrest Isn't Dead, we suggest you get on the bandwagon. Everything we've heard is done well and makes you want to move. The End of Everything is just the start of things for this band.
