Pop some Dramamine, fasten your seatbelts, and hang on tight—because Ozzie and I are about to venture into another dimension to find Mordhaus, the home of Dethklok.

Dethklok is the product child of Metalocalypse. Featuring five animated members—Nathan Explosion, Murderface, Pickles, Skwisgaar, and Toki—Dethklok turns the volume up to eleven, melting faces with all thing’s death metal. Behind these animated maniacs are four incredibly talented musicians who lurk in the shadows, bringing the true Metalocalypse experience to life.

First things first: have you seen Metalocalypse? If you didn’t grow up staying up all night watching Adult Swim just to catch those precious 11 minutes—so you could roll into school the next day announcing, “I’m Dr. Rockso, the rock and roll clown! I do cocaine!”—then stop reading right now and go watch an episode (or the movie!). Who would’ve thought that mixing satirical lyrics with screaming power riffs would create a generational following?

Seeing Dethklok live is a unique experience. The entire concert unfolds with our five favorite animated members blasting away on a massive screen, while simultaneously taking us through the many chaotic adventures Metalocalypse has delivered over the years. From iconic episode clips to never-before-seen material, your eyes won’t be able to pull away from the spectacle. Honestly, I forgot the band was even on stage.
