Album Review - Opus Orange: Object Lessons (August 27, 2021)

Opus Orange is the project of LA-based musician Paul Bessenbacher. His indie rock style features dynamic electric guitars, synth work, acoustics, and group vocals that make his sound unique. His newest release Object Lessons was mixed by Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket and Modest Mouse) and was mastered by Doug Van Sloun (Bright Eyes).

While Bessenbacher may primarily subscribe to an indie rock sound, it's important to note that he doesn't have hard edge with his sound. There are times where he can even veer into alt-pop territory such as on the track "Other", "Waltz and Collision", and "Dizzy Spin". What's clear is that Object Lessons is a bright indie record that should make waves on the scene. You should do yourself a favor and check it out.
