Advance Review - Walter DeBarr: "Blackened" (January 1, 2021)
West Virginia's own Walter DeBarr is back with a new single "Blackened", that drops on January 1! With "Blackened" the gravel-toned singer/songwriter offers up a roots-rock tinged banger that evokes thoughts of being broken down.
Musically, "Blackened" is stunning, it starts off somber and builds to something big. The powerful melodies on the chorus are heavy with distortion and it's a welcomed use of the effect. You're going to have to wait a bit for this one, as it drops January 1, 2021, but the wait is well worth it.
