Ozzie and Sarah’s Journey to Sonic Temple Fest - Fifth Stop: Architects

We’re baaa‑ack (please read in your creepiest Poltergeist-like voice). Sorry for the delay—Ozzie has been off the grid reconnecting with his ancestral self. But now that he has rejoined society as a functioning non-human, we’re ready to hop across the pond to Brighton and bring you the one and only: Architects.

Architects blend crushing heaviness with soaring melodies that sink their teeth in you like nobody else. This is a band that crafts breakdowns so nasty you’ll be tempted to start a wall of death in your office cubicle. They’re true pillars of the metalcore world and somehow keep delivering hit after hit with every album.

Seeing Architects live is an experience you don’t forget. I first caught them in a smaller venue—my absolute favorite way to see any band. Don’t get me wrong, I love a big production, but there’s something special about watching musicians perform in a stripped‑back setting. It’s more intimate, more nostalgic, and honestly, their music doesn’t need any extra hoopla. Both the vocals and instrumentals sounded even better live than on the recordings—and I’m not exaggerating (trust me).

An Architects show means belting out every melodic hook one second, then straining every neck muscle headbanging the next while serving your absolute stankiest metal face.

If you haven’t seen Architects yet, do yourself a favor and catch them at Sonic Temple on Saturday!

Love,

Sarah and Ozzie
