Alt Revue went to the depths of hell to bring you this one. The stage was set with three symbolic microphones, standing there waiting to be brought to life. Blending death metal and black metal, Behemoth opened the night by demanding everyone’s attention with deep, guttural growls and intricate guitar work.

What stood out most to me was their stage presence. Beyond the dramatic wardrobe and eccentric accessories, it was their pure energy and commanding performance that truly captivated the room. There wasn’t a single moment where I wasn’t completely drawn in. This is a band that has been around for years, and they proved exactly why—showing they are true musicians both in the studio and on stage.

I’ll be honest: this was my first death metal show, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the vibe of the crowd and the intensity of the performance. We all know the metal community is one of the nicest out there, so it didn’t shock me that this carried over into the darker subgenres. What did surprise me was the sheer energy.

I also caught Deicide before Behemoth took the stage—and wow. Talk about a band so heavy it rattles your bones. Standing next to the monitors in the pit felt like my chest was going to explode. If you’re into heavy, low, gut punching metal, Deicide is absolutely the band for you.
I highly recommend catching a Behemoth show. From start to finish, it’s an intense, captivating experience that showcases just how talented these musicians truly are.
