Album Review: Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 'Cool It Down'

Updated: May 3, 2023

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are back after a nine year absence from dropping records. We're glad to say we're happy they're back. Cool It Down may only clock in at eight tracks, but the band makes the most of their time on the album. They have big, bold rallying cries such as their single "Spitting Off the Edge of the World", "Wolf", and "Burning". These tracks are jams that will make you want to be on the dance floor. Karen O and Co. also get intimate with songs like "Mars" where you feel like you're one-on-one with the band.

The biggest judgment from us on Cool It Down is we wish there was more! Though, we're living in a time where releases get shorter, so it's understandable that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have gone with eight tracks here. What makes what they accomplished even more impressive is they were only able to be in a studio together for four days on this album. Perhaps one day, we'll get an expanded edition with anything that was left on the cutting room floor. What's clear to say is that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are back and the indie world should pay attention.

Rating - 5/5

Glad to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs back with such a strong album! The mix of danceable tracks and intimate moments makes "Cool It Down" a must-listen. Check out Voidling Bound for more great music.

Spot on review! "Wolf" and "Burning" have been on absolute repeat for me, Karen O still has that magic. My only real gripe is that it's way too short with just 8 tracks, left me wanting so much more lol. Honestly, after the album finished, I was still in that chill, synth-heavy mood and ended up killing time on minigame playing some retro arcade stuff just to keep the vibe going. Really hope we don't have to wait another nine years for the next one!

I never really thought about online casino games this deeply before, but reading this made me realize how much they’ve changed. I always imagined simple spinning reels, yet the idea of stories, quests, and paths like rabbit road sounds more like an adventure game than classic gambling. I like the thought of exploring a game world and unlocking surprises along the way, and even browsing https://fox-slots-login.com/de/ feels like part of that experience. For me it’s exciting to see how games keep evolving and becoming more interactive and fun for players everywhere today.
