Album Review: Willow - ‘The Thread’

GRAMMY nominated musician Willow is back with her ninth studio album this week. The Thread features genre-bending soundscapes that has a little bit of everything, including R&B and alternative jazz just to name a few. Willow shows off her skills as a guitarist and composer on this one, with dynamic rhythms and melodies throughout. The bright instrumentation pairs perfectly with Willow's signature vocals.
The Thread even has hints of pop sensibility to it that make this one a great listen while you're trying to be productive, or if you're just looking to bop. The record's title track grabs your hand and just dares you to move. "Unconditional" features Willow's vocals again, with some light guitar work, against an R&B/pop infused beat.
It's absolutely mind-blowing that for being only 25 years old, Willow is on her ninth studio release.
