Album Review: Buffalo Traffic Jam - ‘Pictures of You’

Montana’s own Buffalo Traffic Jam is set to make waves with their breakout album, Pictures of You, dropping this Friday. Trust us, you are not going to want to miss this album.

The duo, manned by Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross, connected while attending Montana State University, and have been crafting music together ever since. Their 2024 self-titled EP and a series of festival debuts in 2025 helped build a loyal and growing fanbase. Even before releasing a full-length album, Buffalo Traffic Jam has proven they have staying power, as evidenced by their nearly sold-out fall tour.

“Fools Gold” is the standout single from Pictures of You, already amassing well over 95 million streams to date*.  With the momentum generated by “Fools Gold”, the entire album start to finish is poised to be a massive hit from beginning to end.

The album starts off strong with “Hanging on Hope”, Cassidy's wiry, rasp-filled vocals immediately transporting listeners into the heart of the band's signature sound, blending raw emotion with vivid storytelling from the very first note.
