Rock - Vance Joy
James Gabriel Keogh, AKA Vance Joy, was a football player before becoming a musician. A few years after quitting football, he released his first EP, God Loves You When You’re Dancing (2013). The EP contained the singles “Riptide” and “From Afar”. The next year, he released his first studio album, Dream Your Life Away. In addition to “Riptide” and “From Afar”, the album included the singles “Mess is Mine”, “Wasted Time”, “Georgia”, and “First Time”. In February 2018, Nation of Two was released. The album has 6 new singles and was topping charts in Australia, Canada, and the US.
Folk - Judah and the Lion
The members of Judah and the Lion all met in college at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. The band released their first EP, First Fruits (2012), as a Christian group, but quickly decided they wanted to expand their audience. They released their EP Sweet Nashville (2013) the following year. Then, in 2014, they announced their first studio album, Kids These Days, which topped charts in the US. The same year, they were opening for Mat Kearney and Ben Rector. After a two year break, they released their second studio album, Folk Hop n' Roll/ Folk Hop n' Roll Deluxe Edition. They spent most of 2017 opening for bands like Twenty One Pilots, appearing at festivals, and performing on late night shows. Their latest single, “Going to Mars”, was just released in 2018.
Pop - Chris Ayer
Chris Ayer began his music career in an a cappella group at Stanford. From there, he has gone on to self release a couple EPs and a full length album. In January 2013, he signed on to a record label and released his second full length album, The Noise. The album was number 6 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. After the release of his new album, he was on tour Matt Simons.
R&B - Lauren Jauregui
Lauren Jauregui was originally a member of the band Fifth Harmony, which was formed during her time on The X Factor. The band released 3 studio albums since their formation in 2013. However, they announced they permanent hiatus in 2018 so that each member could pursue solo projects. Lauren has been keeping busy since the hiatus was announced. She has been working on her own debut album, and has been working with artists such as Halsey, Marian Hill, Ty Dolla Sign, and Steve Aoki.
Electronic - Elohim
Not much personal information is known about Elohim. She released her debut single, “Xanax” in 2015 along with “She Talks Too Much” and “Bridge and the Wall”. These 3 singles were featured on her self titled EP in 2016. Her self titled studio album (2018) contains her new singles “Sleepy Eyes” and “Half Love”. Her singles “Connect” and “Love is Alive” have not been featured on an album. She is scheduled to be on tour in early 2019.
