Headbanger's Howl

In Loving Memory of Kyle Pavone - 1990-2018

Today, the Band We Came as Romans announced the passing of cleans vocalist and keyboardist Kyle Pavone. His death came as a shock to fans and fellow musicians, as many of them have posted on social media their feelings of sadness and their many praises of just how great of a human Kyle truly was.

Kyle was originally from Michigan where he joined the band in 2008. Kyle was known for his cleans alongside scream vocalist David Puckett as well as Kyle's talent on the keyboards. Kyle also did a lot in the EDM community where he created music and performed at various places and festivals including Electric Forest. Kyle was a very talented and well-rounded musician who was always creating new sounds and doing what he loved.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to see WCAR perform multiple times and the energy and talent that radiated from Kyle was like no other. His voice was amazing live and he was always smiling on stage. I also had the opportunity to meet Kyle and he was one of the sweetest humans. His smile was contagious and you could tell just how much he appreciated his fans and music in general.

Kyle will be deeply missed in the rock community and by all friends and family. He was always promoting charities and seemed like the light-hearted guy you wanted as a friend. It is never easy to lose an artist as great as Kyle, and I hope all of you out there are doing alright in this dark time. WCAR announced that if anyone would like to donate to Kyle, to donate to charities instead of purchasing flowers. There will be a list of charities shared by the band soon.

Kyle was only 28 when he died, far too young to leave this world. One of his last tweets on Twitter stated “ Will I be remembered or will I be lost in loving eyes”, lyrics from their song “Promise Me”. You will be remembered and deeply missed Kyle, Rest in Peace.
